Watchmen-Snyder’s Hit

Here is the new trailer for The Watchmen which runs before The Dark Knight. It was released early online for us all to enjoy. I’m very impressed with the trailer. I’m sure to someone unfamiliar with the source material, this all looks like a jumbled up nonsense. If you have read the graphic novel you will recognize many scenes directly translated into film, much like Zack Snyder did for 300.
The Rock-New Flick

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is named the best-selling book of 2005 in the US.
More than 300 million copies of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter books have been sold.
The Movie has been chosen for this year’s Royal Film performance in London in November.
The release date for The Movie is pushed back by eight months, to July 2009.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Two Lovers Second Poster
The second trailer for the romance/drama “Two Lovers,” starring Joaquin Phoenix, Gwyneth Paltrow and Vinessa Shaw has been released. Phoenix reunites for the third time with director James Gray. The two have collaborated on “The Yards” and “We Own the Night.”
“Two Lovers” is a romantic drama set in New York City. It tells the story of Leonard (Joaquin Phoenix), an attractive but depressed young man who moves back in with his parents following a recent heartbreak. An aspiring photographer, Leonard works part-time at his father’s dry-cleaners. His concerned parents try to set him up with Sandra (Vinessa Shaw), the sweet and caring daughter of a close family friend. A big family dinner serves as their introduction and Leonard arranges to see her again.
Then late one night Leonard looks out his bedroom window and notices a ravishing young woman he’s never seen before. Michelle (Gwyneth Paltrow) recently moved into an apartment in his family’s building – an apartment paid for by the wealthy married man she’s seeing.
“Two Lovers” will hit the theaters on January 9th, 2009.
Friday the 13th-New Terror

Friday the 13th is a 2009 American horror film directed by Marcus Nispel, and written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. It is a reboot of the Friday the 13th film series, whose last film was the 2003 crossover film Freddy vs. Jason. Nispel also helmed the 2003 remake of Tobe Hooper‘s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, while Shannon and Swift wrote the screenplay for Freddy vs. Jason. The film stars Derek Mears as Jason Voorhees, with Jared Padalecki and Amanda Righetti portraying the male and female leads.
Set for a Friday, February 13, 2009 release, the film will take elements from the first four films.

Spider-Man 4 is finally coming together. Director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire have signed on and rumors are building that Spidey’s gal, Kirsten Dunst, will return as well.
