Full Theatrical Trailer for Chris Nolan’s Inception
Warner Bros debuted the full-length theatrical trailer for Chris Nolan’s Inception in theaters in front of Iron Man 2 a few days back. There aren’t many words to describe how incredibly epic and amazing this looks, but beautiful and stunning and mesmerizing are a few that fit best. Watching this trailer, you will agree that Inception is the most anticipated movie this summer. This just looks so phenomenal.

Inception is both written and directed by acclaimed Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige and The Dark Knight. Nolan previously co-wrote the scripts for Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight with his brother Jonathan Nolan. Warner Bros is bringing Inception to theaters starting on July 16th this summer.

First Official Resident Evil: Afterlife Trailer
Sony has debuted the first official trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife, with Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter, today and you can check it out below. I’m not sure why, but the studio is trying to hype up this fourth new sequel as much as possible, mainly now that it’s in 3D, but because this is the fourth movie, I’m not sure why they think anyone will be excited for this besides the the usual fans.

Anyway, this looks as action cheesy as it can get, but I am a bit amused by the fact that they chose to say in the trailer that this was shot in 3D. At least these guys know that converting to 3D is a bad idea! Watch if you’re interested.
She’s back… And she’s bringing a few of her friends. Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter co-star with Wentworth Miller, Kim Coates, Kacey Barnfield, Shawn Roberts, Spencer Locke, Norman Yeung and also Boris Kodjoe.
Resident Evil: Afterlife is both written and directed by British director Paul W.S. Anderson, who introduced us to the cinematic Resident Evil franchise back in 2002, then helped write the sequels, but hasn’t directed another Resident Evil movie since. After last using Russell Mulcahy for Extinction, Anderson has returned to continue on this franchise with old faces but new excitement. Sony / Screem Gems is bringing Resident Evil: Afterlife to theaters everywhere n 3D on September 10th, 2010 this year. Planning on seeing this?

First Iron Man 2 TV Spot from Kids’ Choice Awards
During the 2010 Kids’ Choice Awards on Nickelodeon, Paramount debuted the first TV spot for Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2. Looks like Marvel really is trying to be as family friend or family appealing as possible with this franchise. That said, this movie looks better and better the more we see and the closer we get to release. I’m sure new digital effects shots are coming in every day; we get just a glimpse of each of them in every new bit of footage. The trailers both looked great but now we’re down to the last month or so until this hits. I love that Nick Fury’s role has been expanded, too.

ron Man 2 takes place only six months after Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) revealed his identity as Iron Man at the end of the first movie. Mickey Rourke stars as a powerful new Russian villain named Whiplash.
Iron Man 2 is directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Jon Favreau, who previously directed Made, Elf, Zathura, and the first Iron Man. The screenplay for this was also written by an actor, Justin Theroux, who became a screenwriter a few years ago and co-wrote Tropic Thunder’s script. Paramount will be bringing Iron Man 2 to theaters everywhere starting on May 7th, 2010 this summer. See everyone in theaters in May for this!

New Nightmare on Elm Street MTV TV Spots
I’m not sure how many people watch MTV on a regular basis, but I’m guessing there’s not a lot on here. So these new TV spots should be exciting to see because they were made for them and I don’t think that many people have seen these yet.

Click 3X was hired to create three new TV spots for the upcoming A Nightmare on Elm Street remake that “interrupt” the promo that’s being aired with a really creative and often creepy transition that flows right into the TV spot then resume back into the promo like nothing happened. These are actually pretty awesome and the second one is the best. I’ve included all three below, so check them out!
MTV/Nightmare on Elm Street Interruptions by Click 3X from Connor Swegle on Vimeo. MTV/Nightmare on Elm Street Interruptions 2 by Click 3X from Connor Swegle on Vimeo. MTV/Nightmare on Elm Street Interruptions by Click 3X from Connor Swegle on Vimeo.
A new reimagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people inside their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality, too.
First Teaser Trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s Megamind
DreamWorks Animation has debuted a short 45-second teaser trailer for their next new film Megamind, formerly known as Oobermind and Master Mind before that. Due out in November of this year, Megamind features the voice talents of Will Ferrell (as Megamind), Brad Pitt (as Metro Man), Tina Fey and Jonah Hill.

Similar to Universal’s Despicable Me, the focus is not on the hero this time, but on the villain, who is voiced by Ferrell and looks like a blue-skinned idiot. This looks really awful. I don’t like the voices, the characters, or the trailer at all. But at least it’s a bit better than the Despicable Me trailers, I guess. Check it out below.
A satirical take on superhero movies, in which a notorious villain loses his oomph after he accidentally kills his nemesis Metro Man. Megamind is being directed by DWA’s own Tom McGrath, of both Madagascar and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa previously. The script was co-written by first-time writers Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons. This will be DreamWorks Animation’s third feature film this year following How to Train Your Dragon in March and Shrek Forever After in May. Paramount will be releasing Megamind in theaters everywhere starting on November 5th this year.

Full Trailer for Nimrod Antal’s Predators Debuts
20th Century Fox has debuted the first official trailer for Robert Rodriguez & Nimród Antal’s Predators, the reboot of the classic action series that first hit theaters in 1987. Although we featured a rather exciting sneak peek at the movie with all kinds of behind-the-scenes footage just last week, this is the trailer you’ve all been waiting to see.
There was a lot of concern that Rodriguez couldn’t pull this off, but I definitely think he might have done just that, as this looks awesome and I’m looking forward to seeing it this summer. I love the characters, I love the jungle setting again, I love Laurence Fishburne and Adrien Brody – so bring it on!
Predators is being directed by Nimród Antal, of Kontroll, Vacancy, and Armored previously. The screenplay was co-written by newcomers Michael Finch and Alex Litvak and is based on early draft written years ago by producer Robert Rodriguez, who also worked with them on the script. This is a reboot of the Predator series created by Jim & John Thomas and directed by John McTiernan in 1987. We’re not sure what the actual plot is, but all we need to know is that it’s about a bunch of badass elite warriors who fight a bunch of predators out in the jungle. 20th Century Fox is bringing Predators to theaters everywhere on July 7th this summer.

The Mechanic Promo Trailer with Jason Statham
Earlier today our friends at SlashFilm found the first (unofficial) promo trailer for The Mechanic starring Jason Statham. You’ve probably heard about this remake of a 1970’s Charles Bronson hitman movie of the same name before today, but this is the first time we’ve seen any actual footage from it. It was produced by Nu Image / Millennium Films and it looks pretty badass.
I love seeing Jason Statham in just about anything, but paired up with Ben Foster as two hitmen? I’m totally looking forward to this! Watch out though, as this trailer isn’t MPAA approved and contains sex and violence. It’s also a bit low res but it’s the best we’ve got!
The Mechanic is directed by British filmmaker Simon West, of memorable blockbusters like Con Air, The General’s Daughter, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and When a Stranger Calls. The screenplay was written by first-time feature writer Karl Gajdusek who’s only other writing credit is for the TV show “Dead Like Me”. This is a remake of The Mechanic from 1972 starring Charles Bronson and directed by Michael Winner. As far as we know, this Mechanic doesn’t have a US distributor yet, but we’ll let you know when/if it finds one!
First Official Trailer For Julia Roberts’ Eat, Pray, Love
Sony has debuted the first trailer for Eat, Pray, Love starring the charming Julia Roberts and a handful of other actors including James Franco, Javier Bardem, Billy Crudup, Richard Jenkins & Viola Davis. The book’s subtitle may help give you a better idea of what this is about: “One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia.
” This is a chic flick at it’s finest, but it doesn’t look that bad, to be honest. It does look a bit sappy and I can’t buy Franco and Roberts being a couple, but other than that it looks quite inspirational. Also, I’m not sure why they put a soft focus over the entire movie, but oh well. Check this out!
Eat, Pray, Love is both written and directed by writer/director/producer Ryan Murphy of everything from “Nip/Tuck” to “Glee” to the indie film Running with Scissors which he wrote and directed. The script was co-written by Murphy and Jennifer Salt (“Nip/Tuck”) and is based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s bestselling memoir of the same name. Sony Pictures is bringing Eat, Pray, Love to theaters on August 13th late this summer.
