AfterLife 2010

The story based on after a horrific car accident, Anna (Christina Ricci) wakes up to find the local funeral director Eliot Deacon (Liam Neeson) preparing her body for her funeral. Confused, terrified, and feeling still very much alive, Anna doesnt believe shes dead, despite the funeral director’s reassurances that she is merely in transition to the afterlife. Eliot convinces her he has the ability to communicate with the dead and is the only one who can help her. Trapped inside the funeral home, with nobody to turn to except Eliot, Anna is forced to face her deepest fears and accept her own death. Kristen Stewart’s “The Runaways” Trailer

Posted by Kabbo On March - 14 - 2010

http://www.iwatchstuff.com/2009/06/11/kristen-stewart-joan-jett.jpg

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning star in this music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s: The Runaways. The film follows two friends, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. Joan and Cherie fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley, played by Michael Shannon, who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself—and so do its two leads: Joan is the band’s pure rock ‘n’ roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten. Written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, the film chronicles Joan and Cherie’s tumultuous relationship on and off stage, as the band starts to break out.

Shrek Forever After Official Trailer

Posted by Evan Baxter On March - 13 - 2010

DreamWorks Animation has debuted the full-length theatrical trailer for Shrek Forever After today to give you a taste of what’s coming this summer. The first teaser trailer arrived in December but we haven’t seen much since. With DreamWorks’ other new movie, How to Train Your Dragon, opening in a few more weeks, marketing will definitely be ramping up for Shrek Forever After as well, since it’s their big summer movie.

I can’t tell you how happy I am knowing that this is the last Shrek movie we’ll see (besides a Puss in Boots spin-off). I’m just tired of these movies. It doesn’t look that bad, just doesn’t look that great either.

First Look at Robert Rodriguez’ Predators

Posted by Evan Baxter On March - 13 - 2010

Earlier tonight at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX, Robert Rodriguez and his cohorts debuted a first look at Predators, his new reboot/remake of the action classic. In addition to that event, Fox has unveiled a first look sneak peek at Predators on the official website, with plenty of great footage and a narration from Rodriguez.

After waiting months and months, we finally get our first official look at the movie and I’ve got to say, this looks awesome, totally respectful to the original. There’s even a first-look at a “Predator Hound” in the gallery on the site as well, whatever the hell that is. I think I’ve said enough, just fire this up and enjoy!

New Red Band Repo Men Trailer

Posted by michaeljoejackson On March - 10 - 2010

Last night I saw an awesome TV spot for Repo Men that only contained quick cuts of these guys collecting things and no music. You can watch that here and I was planning on posting it until this “Director’s Cut” trailer popped up on the official website. Universal just debuted this new red band trailer for Repo Men that was cut by the director.

Usually studios hire their own marketing teams to make trailers, but some directors cut their own because they feel they better represent the movie. I don’t think this trailer was as good as that TV spot I mentioned, but damn does this look good. Can’t wait to see this!

Set in the future, the story revolves around a man (Jude Law) who struggles to make the payments on a heart he purchased. He must go on the run before said ticker is repossessed by the company that owns it.

Repo Men is directed by British first-time feature filmmaker Miguel Sapochnik, of only a short from 2000 called The Dreamer previously. The film is based on Eric Garcia’s novel called The Repossession Mambo. The script was co-written by Garcia and TV writer Garrett Lerner (“Smallville”, “Boston Public”, “House”). Universal is bringing Repo Men to theaters everywhere starting on March 19th
