Bill Nighy Joins Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
According to the number one Harry Potter fan site The Leaky Cauldron, Bill Nighy has signed on to play the role of Minister for Magic Rufus Scrimgour in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The actor himself has refused to reveal who he will be portraying, but has said it’ll be one of the good guys. But the folks at The Leaky Cauldron happen to be the experts on all things Harry Potter, so must get their info from reliable sources. For those of you who don’t know, Rufus Scrimgour is head of the Auror Office, who in the sixth installment gets elected Minister for Magic. The character is described as being both calculating and battle-hardened. Do you think Nighy is a good choice for the role?
Natalie Portman will be playing the role of Jane Foster, the love interest of the title character in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. Her casting has officially been confirmed by Marvel yesterday (July 13). The film will co-star Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as the villain Loki. The synopsis of the film from FirstShowing.net:
