Harry Potter IMAX Opening Delayed By Transformers
Last year, IMAX made a deal with paramount to give Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a full four-week run in it’s theaters. However, since then Warner Bros. has moved the release date for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince from November 2009 to July 2009. Half Blood Prince will hit regular theaters on July 15, but the month-long run of Revenge will end July 22nd. This means that Half Blood will have to be moved back two weeks to July 29th. Half Blood will have twelve minutes of footage shot for IMAX.
Natalie Portman will be playing the role of Jane Foster, the love interest of the title character in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. Her casting has officially been confirmed by Marvel yesterday (July 13). The film will co-star Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as the villain Loki. The synopsis of the film from FirstShowing.net:
