Mickey Rourke Reveals A Bit Of Whiplash From Iron Man 2
Mickey Rourke has recently let slip a couple of tidbits about his character Whiplash, the villain in the next Iron Man film. According to sources Empire and The Guardian, one of Whiplash’s lines from the film is “If someone kills me, don’t wake me up, because I’d rather be dead than live in your world.” Sounds deep, doesn’t it? Rourke has said that for the sake of authenticity, he will be doing half of his lines in Russian. He also added, “It’s been really brutal, because my Iron Man suit weighs 23lb. It’s sort of a half-suit, with half my skin showing, with lots of Russian tattoos, because [Whiplash is just] out of a Russian-zone prison.”
We can expect more revelations during Comic-Con in July.
Natalie Portman will be playing the role of Jane Foster, the love interest of the title character in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. Her casting has officially been confirmed by Marvel yesterday (July 13). The film will co-star Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as the villain Loki. The synopsis of the film from FirstShowing.net:
This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war.
