Now it’s official. Ryan Reynolds will be playing the role of Hal Jordan in the new Green Lantern movie. According to the folks at Variety and THR, Reynolds has been confirmed to play the role in the film which will start shooting this January. This ends months of speculation and rumors about who will be chosen, with reports that the director Martin Campbell, producers Donald De Line and Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros. couldn’t reach an agreement. Others being considered were Justin Timberlake, Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto, all of whom did screen tests along with Reynolds.
