Sony has debuted the first trailer for Eat, Pray, Love starring the charming Julia Roberts and a handful of other actors including James Franco, Javier Bardem, Billy Crudup, Richard Jenkins & Viola Davis. The book’s subtitle may help give you a better idea of what this is about: “One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia.

” This is a chic flick at it’s finest, but it doesn’t look that bad, to be honest. It does look a bit sappy and I can’t buy Franco and Roberts being a couple, but other than that it looks quite inspirational. Also, I’m not sure why they put a soft focus over the entire movie, but oh well. Check this out!

Eat, Pray, Love is both written and directed by writer/director/producer Ryan Murphy of everything from “Nip/Tuck” to “Glee” to the indie film Running with Scissors which he wrote and directed. The script was co-written by Murphy and Jennifer Salt (“Nip/Tuck”) and is based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s bestselling memoir of the same name. Sony Pictures is bringing Eat, Pray, Love to theaters on August 13th late this summer.
