The first trailer for Richard Kelly’s dark comedy The Box has just been released by Warner Bros. The film stars Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella. The plot revolves around a magical box that can make its owner wealthy, but at the expense of something bad happening somewhere else in the world. Here’s a short plot synopsis from FirstShowing.net: Norma (Cameron Diaz) and Arthur Lewis (James Marsden), a suburban couple with a young child, receive a wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. But, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human somewhere in the world.
